Since I arrived back home after 10 weeks in Asia, the question I’ve been asked the most is this: What was the best of your trip?
And it’s not an easy question to answer.
I’ve seen amazing beautiful places, ate super tasty food, lived very intense experiences…
But for me there is a clear winner: THE PEOPLE.
This is a Thank You to all of you, guys and girls, locals and travelers, that I met on my way trough Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos.
Because you definitely MADE my trip.
All of you left a significant (sometimes huge) influence on me, and I like to think I also inspired you somehow.
This Win-Win backpacker feedback that makes traveling such an awesome experience.
I know we just met for few days, sometimes even for just few hours, but still I can feel this mindset changes from all of you.
It was like slight ‘clicks’ in my brain that, although by themselves would not make a big difference, all together changed my perspective of life 180 degrees.
Those spontaneous conversations at evening, having a drink at the hostel reception or on the back of a pick up hitchhiking to unknown destiny.
Those local/backpacker info exchanges about good food, nice hostels or beautiful places to visit.
Those easygoing ways to start a conversation with ‘strangers’ that later you say good bye like old good friends.
Those shared meals and drinks, hikes and party nights, check ins and check outs, motorbike journeys and night bus rides, hitchhiking drivers and Couch Surfing hosts…
All those moments that filled my heart of sweet memories and I will remember for the rest of my life.
Thank you all guys and girls for made my trip such an unforgettable and emotional experience 😀
